****************MODERATION NOTE*********************
After today 9/9/94 I am going to move the Movie, Rusty Means
thread to NatChat. It seems that there is a lot to discuss on
this topic and the Natural Born Killers movie. I don't want
to cut off discussion, but the the tread has moved from infromational
(The Native-L topic) to a more general discussion (NatChat's exact purpose).

Response to comments on Natural Born Killers:

I, too saw this film, and am interested in the impressions others have of
it. I was overwhelmed, and impressed by the creativity with which Oliver
Stone uses to get his message across. It seems to me his message is simple
and yet powerful:
"Too much TV"

I am also interested in what someone from the Native American community
thinks about Stone's portrayal of Native Americans, almost as the only truly
enlightened ones, and therefore, those with the most potential to succeed in
this crazy world. Is this something you find gratifying or was he too
patronizing? I just thought this film was brilliantly satirical and begs
for people to discuss its meaning. Anyone else interested?
