You have good reason to be suspicious, Jay. This
organization has repeatedly been exposed as a con job in
Indian Country Today. The last article i remember seeing
was around the same time as the "plastice medicine men"
series. They used to do most of their work on the east
coast, and its interesting to see that now CA may be a
focus. i believe there have been numerous complaints with
the Better Business Bureau, and also they have been in court
several times. The last time i heard about their tactics,
they were talking about "imminent, massive starvation" on
one of the SD rezs (Rosebud, i think, but not sure).
Anyway, they play the stereotype of the "poor, helpless
Indians" to the hilt.

i had thought these people had been shut down.
