Assistance for 8th grade report

I am mentoring an 8th grade student in the local junior high
school. Jay is very knowledgeable about his culture and his tribal history.
As a member of an introductory newswriting class, he has decided to
write an article about the albino buffalo calf born this summer.
Unfortunately, an ill-timed glitch has made many of my files inaccessible.

If anyone can supply information on the calf, the prophecy,
general background material/resources and/or quoteable material,
I will pass it along to Jay this week. On his behalf, thanks to all
of you who share.
