The Department of Sociology at McMaster University invites applications
for two tenure-track positions beginning July 1, 1995 pending budgetary
approval. Rank for both positions is at the level of assistant
professor. For the first position we are looking for someone with
expertise in the area of organizations. For the second position we are
looking for someone with expertise in the area of race and ethnicity.
The successful applicant for these positions will have completed the
Ph.D. and demonstrated competence in the areas by means of publications,
research and teaching. For both positions the ability to teach
quantitative, qualitative or historical methods at the undergraduate
level will be an asset. Responsibilities will include undergraduate and
graduate teaching, research leading to publications, supervision of
graduate students and administrative responsibilities. Inquiries,
