To those who have responded, I say thanks...

The consensus re "Can a legal doctrine traceable to prejudice
against Indian people serve as a vehicle for achieving justice between
Indian tribes and the dominant society in the United States?", so far leans
to the negative (two no's, one yes - pretty lean for a consensus, huh?).
With this I agree. For, how could a legal system founded on false premises
(Manifest Destiny coupled with the declarations of John Marshall) achieve
anything but perpetuation of Wasichu's Dream. This, at the continued cost
of the conquered?

Is there anyone here specializing in Federal Indian Law? Am
interested in knowing what they think. Basically, am wondering how these
legal specialists might be approaching the manipulation of Wasichu's Law
for the benefit of the First Nations/First Peoples? In truth, can it be
manipulated for long term good?

And, is there anyone who takes the stance that Federal Indian Law
is "not" based on prejudice and erroneous assertions?

Peace...Jordan
