The area you describe is most probably Kwaiisu. Robert Schiffman at
Bakersfield College has done a lot of work on pictographs in that area.
Walker's Pass is a little north of there and there a number of similar
pictographs near the military reserve up there. Contact Schiffman. I did
some field work out there for an archaeoastronomy exhibit we did at the
Bowers Museum about 12 years ago. Schiffman's phone number used to be 805
395-4391. It has been a long time since I have spoken with him so I can't
be certain if the number is still good, but the people there should have
the surveys of that part of the state.
