Locate diaries of Bartolemu de las CASAS, a churchman who
accompanied Columbus on the second voyage and writes
vividly and condemingly of the spanish invasion. You
will find five works at the University of Oregon, and
probably many others. The original works are at the
Vatican, but have been translated and republished
many times. Be prepared for shock and horror - the
spanish made Freddy look like a lamb. I shed tears
with every reading.
