Very shortly the South and Meso American Indian Rights Center (SAIIC) will
be publishing our next issue of Abya Yala News on issues of biodiversity
and "intellectual property rights" (IPR). By covering these issues in some
depth, we hope to stimulate further debate among Indigenous organizations on
these issues and promote cooperative work toward a unified Indigenous
position within the various international forums now addressing IPR and
biodiversity.
Organizations and individuals are invited to submit information, interviews,
articles, photos or graphics relevant to these issues. If you would like to
share any such material with SAIIC, please send us an email note, letting us
know what you will be sending, and how to reach you. Time is very short, we
will only be able to receive materials for another one to two weeks. This
note should be addressed to saiic@igc.apc.org and put attention: Journal
Coordinators. Thanks very much. With all of your help, we look forward to
producing an exiting and useful journal.
(Please pass this message on to others who might be interested. Thanks.)
