Deportation of the British Cree statute

In reference to Peter Hyde's request for a circa 1896 "US bill" for the
deportation of the British Cree--I have found nothing in Kappler's Indian
Affairs Laws and Treaties (Cree isn't even an index term in these books)
or in the 1895-1897 US Statutes at Large. Could this be some sort of court
order rather than a piece of federal legislation?? Why don't you try the
United States Department of the Interior Library in Washington--(202)
