Peace Clip-Art Graphics
Ecuador Collection
Volume 1

While undertaking dissertation research in Ecuador during 1993-1994,
I began to collect ethnographic images of that society. The result is
40 scanned TIFF images representing various aspects of indigenous life
in that society. In order to make the images more meaningful, I have
included a bit of documentation on the source of each graphic. In
addition, the package includes a file which gives a brief history of
and bibliography on the indigenous cultures of Ecuador. This
collection of graphics is labeled "Volume 1." This does not mean there
is a second volume, but it leaves open that possibility should the
opportunity arise. None of names of the graphics in this Ecuador
series repeats those of the PAZTIFF series which I had previously
released, so they can be unzipped into the same directory. These
graphics are free, but if you find them useful I suggest that you
support the efforts of an organization such as the South and Meso
American Indian Rights Center (PO Box 28703, Oakland, CA 94604,
Tel: (510) 834-4263, Email: saiic@igc.apc.org) which works to defend
the rights of indigenous people.
