Help! I need native input

I have been having this argument with these white people that it is not OK
for them to be taking ceremonies like the sacred Sun Dance and change them
for their own use. I have tried every argument to show them how this wrong
and stealing, and wrecking the culture but they hust don't see it. They
think they can do anything they want.
One has has asked the question: "What harm do you see from mainstream
culture people's affinity for native rituals, even if that affinity is
exprressed in a clumsy and superficial manner?" Can any native people help
