Help! I need native input

I am white but I would ask do these rituals work for them? Do they obtain
the same results? Do they even know the meaning of whatever results they
get,if any? I know people who do these things and while I think they are
fools, they don't listen to me either. Their ego drives them to do these
things.They believe that by merely performing the act this makes them
spiritual, but there is no meaning in what they do. It's sad but they
just won't listen.
