The last info I have received on Miracle is as follows:

She has put on a winter coat, which is significantly darker than the
newborn coat. Miracle's owners have put a hold on visits to their farm
until they determine whether the spring coat comes back white. Quoting
from the Tennessee Indigenous Peoples Society newsletter, "the fact that
Miracle was born white, and supposed to be purebred, is of more
significance than what color it may later become. Part of the legend is
that as Buffalo Calf Woman walked away, she became a white buffalo calf,
and as she walked on, she became a dark colored calf." I don't have any
way to verify this information, but from what I've read recently about
albino versus white buffalos, Miracle could come back next spring with a
nice white summer coat... Who are we to rush the natural course of
things? As they say, Patience is a Virtue (but nonetheless Painful!).
