I was fortunate to have had the chance to meet and talk with Lani
Ka'ahumanu last November at the InQueery InTheory InDeed Conference here
at the University of Iowa. She was one of the key note speakers and told
us of the effort by indigenous Hawai'ians to correct the great wrongs
perpetrated by the United States government and its agents 100 years
ago. I am thrilled to read of the progress and of the new constitution
just signed. What I want to know is, how can those of us in the
contiguous states help the cause along? What would make the greatest
impact? To whom should we write? Any information would be appreciated.
