I work with some students at Haskell Indian Nations University, in
Lawrence, Kansas, who work in the business you are researching. If you
want me to post a sign for any such students to get in touch with you, I
would.

Also, I know former Governor Finney spoke at Haskell last year about those
issues. I don't know where to look for scholarly treatments, except
perhaps on a few net lists, as you're doing. Two contacts I'd suggest
are:

at Haskell, Dan Wildcat, (913) 749 8404; at KU, sociologist Joanne Nagel,
(913) 864-4111. Good luck. I'd be curious to see what you come up with.

P.S., I don't know how far along you are in your research process; I just
recalled that I *have* seen some academic or at least official reports on
economic self-sufficiency of Indian nations. Recent ones of these should
treat your subject.
