The first will take place at Phoenix College (1202 West Thomas Rd, Phoenix,
AZ 85013-4234) on Saturday, April 1, 1995 (no fooling!) beginning at 12 noon.
This is a one day competition Pow Wow, all drums groups are invited. No fee
will be charged for American Indian Craftspersons/Artisans.
The second is the MCCD Honoring Ceremony and Pow Wow for American Indian
graduates. Mesa Community College (1833 West Southern Ave., Mesa, AZ 85201-
4866) is the location. It will take place on Saturday, May 6, 1995 beginning
at 12 noon. Again all drums groups are welcome. There will be a fee for
vendors probably nominal.
Also, in the MCCD is the 14th Annual Spring Competition Pow Wow sponsored by
the Sun Earth Alliance Indian Club at Scottsdale Community College. This is
a two day Pow Wow held on Saturday and Sunday, April 8-9, 1995. The address
is 9000 East Chaparral Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85250-2699, on the Salt River
Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Write the American Indian Programs for further
information on this event.
