The National Park Service (NPS) will shortly issue a Request for
Proposals (RFP) for a "Mohawk Valley Battlefield Ethnography." The
proposed project is an applied ethnographic study of the relationships
between contemporary Native Americans and Revolutionary War sites under
current or possible future stewardship of the National Park Service,
including Fort Stanwix National Monument, Oriskany Battlefield, and their
environs located in Oneida County, New York. As with all NPS ethnographic
studies, the Principal Investigator must have a Ph.D. in Cultural or
Applied Anthropology and directly related experience.
