American Indian Studies: The American Indian Studies Center at
the University of Washington invites applications for a
full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant
Professor for an anticipated position beginning in September,
1995. Applicants must have areas of specialization in Pacific
Northwest regional historic and contemporary Indian studies,
the Ph.D. or equivalent degree completed prior to appointment,
and a record which indicates research and teaching strengths,
including the ability to teach introductory and advanced
courses in American Indian Studies. Native American scholars
are particularly encouraged to apply, and priority will be
given to applications received before February 15, 1995.

statement of research and teaching interests, and the names of
