Actually, from my understanding, just about every tribe in the area
laid claim to some part of Kentucky. I know that durring the treaties
with the Ani-Tsalagi that part of Kentucky was given up in an early
treaty. I remember reading that the Shawnee and Iroquois were often
found residing in Kentucky as well... and none of this mentions the
smaller less known tribes which may have been found in that part of
the country.

The major players, from what I've read, seem to have been Shawnee and
TSalagi, with the Iroquois having occassional "outposts" in the area.
