I am a graduate student at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and am
interested in any resources, contacts, information that anyone can send me on
the sovereignty movement in Hawai'i. I have been able to connect with a number
of great people and good sources so far, and I am open to always learning more.
I am also happy to share news of the very interesting,.relevant things
happening in the Bay Area and at CIIS, that I am aware of.
I am so inspired by what I have learned so far, and am going to embark on a
significant project in applied, advocacy anthropology to explore what it
actually means, that the US has signed this "Apology Bill" and claims to be
working toward reconciliation! What are the dynamics among native Hawai'ians
and their descendents in this movement, what are the precedents for this
movement, and what example will the Hawai'ians set for the rest of the world,
when they are successful, and create a "sustainable" society?! Just a few
exciting questions on my mind.
Thanks so much for any help....
