Folks,

Funeral services were held yesterday for the three Senecas killed in the March
25th shooting on the Cattaragus Seneca Reservation.

There is a unofficial truce for the time being. Both sides, Bown and
Bucktooth, are meeting with federal mediators. Native American mediators who
have travelled to the Seneca reservation have offerred their services.
However, Bucktooth has refused to meet with them, claiming they have ties to
AIM.

Sorry for so few details...i'm writing from memory only.

chickadee

"...We learned to be patient observers like the owl. We learned cleverness
from the crow, and courage from the jay, who will attack an owl ten times its
size to drive it off its territory. But above all of them ranked the
chickadee because of its indomitable spirit."
