I am facilitating a social studies project with students from Metepenagiag
School, in Red Bank- a Micmac reserve in New Brunswick, Canada.
I would like to develop a small database of short stories about legendary
leaders, historically signifigant figures and/or events from tribes all
over Canada and the USA during the days of pre-contact with European
explorers. Students will pick their topic from the information sent in and
will have to look for more information to expand on what is already
presented to them. I am hoping that it will be successful and repeated in
years to come. Please feel free to include as much detail as you wish. All
I really need is enough to get them started in the right direction. Any
additional information will help me make sure they continue on the right
