WWW events calendar????

Is there an events calendar on the Web showing 'public' powwows, museum
events, tv shows, book listings/reviews, etc? If not would people be
interested in one? I would like to set one up and maintain it if it would
be worth while. All I would need is help getting information on events
emailed to me (don't send any yet, just want to know if this is good idea,
or if one already exist).
