You can send letters of concern to Gov. Pete Wilson, in Sacramento,
zip = 95814. After 2 letters to Gov Carlson of Minn. about the Roy Martin
case, I received a reply from the head of the state Dept. of Public Safety
(that may not be the right name); the reply said, in essence, that everything
was handled exactly properly, and I hope this satisfies any questions
you have had. I responded, "No, it doesn't." But at least THEY know that WE,
out-of-state U.S. citizens, know, and I suppose that that is worth something.

P.S. I DID learn that the police involved in the Indians In the Trunk (not
cupboard) incident are receiving some (unspecified) kind of punishment.
A bit of justice, dare we hope?
