is "Where the Spirit Lives" the one about the kids who paddle a canoe made
with the "masthead" from a "sacred" canoe belonging to a deceased relative
... and they paddle out to a little island where they undergo a bit of
a "nightmare" with some hired thugs who's job it is to get the Tribal
Counsel to approve of a plan to build some snazzy resort? ... If the kids
can prove the island is a burial ground the plans will be cancelled...

It was a great movie .... started out with an ancient Haida canoe going
across the water if I'm remembering correctly.... I rented it from one of
the Video Rental Places, like the Wherehouse or Tower Records (hint, hint).
... $79 seems a little steep.
