PEOPLE'S WORKSHOP
CO-EXISTENCE OF NATIVE TITLE AND PASTORAL LEASE
To contribute to the International Decade of Indigenous
Peoples, and in keeping with the theme of Partnership in
Action, Songlines Services will co-ordinate a workshop on the
issue of co-existence of native title and pastoral lease at
Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory 22 and 23 July 1995.
The aim of the workshop is to find a marriage of interests
between the real needs of First Peoples whose living countries
are under pastoral lease and the equally real needs of people
in the cattle industry.
Resourcing of the workshop will be entirely by donation and by
contribution of energy by interested people.
