Well you will not believe this but it was bound to happen.

The City of Detroit is thinking of opening a casino in the center of the
city to help in the decline.
Problem is how ?
Answer, open up a casino but creating a Indian Reservation in the heart
of the city.
State laws will not allow the city to open one but if the city were to
permit a federal reservation it can be done. Catch, it has to be run by a
sovereign native nation.
One reason is that across the river in Windsor Canada they are drawing
25,000 people a day from the USA.
So can we see the expansion of reservation into the cities in those
states which will not allow casino's ?
Anyway they are looking into giving deeds of land to Chippewa for a
casino in Detroit...
In a referendum held last summer the vote was 2/3 in favour of a casino.
The mayor only has to transfer the land called Greektown to the Chippewa
tribe and open a Indian owned casino.
The objective is to help a city with 15% employment, decay. The casino
would provide 4,500 jobs, $25 million into cities accounts and loads of spin
off economic development.
So Detroit is ready to keep American money on there side of the river.

Anyone living in Detroit have anything to add to this, please let us hear from
you.
