I do not know of an herb by the name you used. There are many local
expressions for the same herb. So, I'll try and help with what I know.
The herb known as Mandrake (May Apple) is used to prepare the heart
medicine digitalis. It grows wild and is collected and sold to buyers.
The root is used.
I live in the Arkansas Ozarks and it (Mandrake Root) grows wild
throughout our area. If you want additional information on this herb,
let me know. I have some herb books that may tell more about its
preparation and usage. Also, some of the herb could be procurred and
mailed, if needed.
Good Luck,
Bill Lord
