I believe that Pam Creasy was partly right, in that the Gitksan are
sometimes referred to as "interior" Tsimshian. However, the Wet'suwet'en
are actually three Carrier bands in the northwestern part of Carrier
territory. The Gitksan and Wet'suwet'en Nations joined when they
initiated court action to have their ownership of their traditional
territories recognized by the government.
