I hope this is not considered off topic, if so please excuse
this post and I wont post here again. If it is considered acceptable
then on an infrequent basis, I'll post updates (if desired).
On June 23rd, 1995, a group of people representing all spiritual
traditions and all races will leave 1st Encounter Beach in Cape
Cod, Mass. on their way to Santa Barbara, CA (3,700 miles).
The group is being lead by some traditional Native American elders
who have been receiving visions telling them that we are entering
into a very critical period of this planets life. And that if
we as a people do not start personally connecting with Spirit then
we are in for some very serious earth changes. These changes will
cause massive destruction and suffering.
While this small group is committed to walking, they have no funding
and very few know about this endeavor.
The elder who is leading the Walk is Grandfather William Commanda,
82, holder of the Seven Fires Prophesy wampum belt. He believes
that this walk will fulfill the 7th and final prophesy which is
described in the weaving of the belt. (The other 6 prophesies have
already been fulfilled over the 500+ years since the belt was
made.)
If this touches your heart, please seek additional information
by sending email to: Info@sunbow5walk.org or on the web at:
http://www.sunbow5walk/sunbow5
Publicity is badly needed in order to attract those who have the
desire to support this important mission. The walk is expected
to take 8 months and will be accompanied by events in various
cities, towns and communities along the route. The web site will
provide ongoing, current information based on the support of
individuals. The elders have expressly said to not approach groups
for their support, though any support from any source will be
accepted.
May Spirit Walk with you,
Phil

Earth-Spirit -
The Interconnection of Earth-based Activism and Spirituality
Earth-Spirit is an international electronic mail forum to
discuss the interconnection of Earth-based activism and spirituality.
Earth-Spirit is designed as an open exchange of ideas to discuss the
interweaving of the the spiritual connections to what we are trying to
protect with our activism, and how our spirituality directs and
motivates us in our activism. It is also a place to discuss how our
spirituality renews us after a "long hard day" of action, and how we
implement that spirituality in respect to our activism. Your rituals,
your insights, your sharing are actively encouraged here.
It is our hope that this list will provide a forum of community for
activists who work from a holistic viewpoint, who integrate mind, body and
spirit in their work to protect the Earth and Her children. Specifically,
however, it is geared to help us find common ground in our spiritual
motivation to protect Her, to provide an on-line space of dialogues, sharing
and hopefully renewal.
The Earth-Spirit listserv was established on May 1, 1995 by the coordinated
efforts of editors linked through the list's host, Communications for a
Sustainable Future (CSF) located at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
As the co-ordinator of Earth-Spirit, (Joy Williams), I invite you to visit
