The disease of alcoholism, and chemical dependency is killing our people
everywhere. How many more must we watch die before we decide to do
something about this? I do not believe that it is a selfish program, and
the time has come when it needs to be shared.

Those of you that have found a way must give back what was so freely
given to you. I believe that the time has come when we must create our
own "Big Book" to explain how we survive one day at a time. For many of
us, we have returned to the old ways to find the "God of our own
understanding." But whatever way you have come to know the creator, it
needs to be shared.

This will be a book written by American Indians in recovery for American
Indians in recovery. Sacred issues must be referred to, and not explained.

Please help us make a difference in our war against alcohol abuse.

John Franzen
