dispossesion & violence?

I am attempting a comparative study with the main focus being on violence as
a symptom of breakdown in cultural and social fabric. The exploration will
look at displacement and dispossession which has occured in both the
Australian Aboriginal communities and the American Indian communities and
the resultant prevalence of violence in these communities. My major problem
is finding literature in the area. If anyone could give me guidance I would
appreciate it greatly. Thanks in anticipation.
