A good primer on the issue is found in the recent Society for Applied
Anthropology sourcebook on Indigenous Knowledge and Property Rights (1994:
editor Tom Greaves)...there is a chapter discussing exactly these issues,
'tho I don't have it at hand, so I can't provide the exact references.
