We also heard the story about the Indians threatening to leave
the county fairgrounds because of the condition of the facilities, as
well as having seen the results of the repairs that were made. I have the
impression, however, that this episode happened before the current
conflict began, although it's certainly possible it contributed to the
fair board's present attitude. Whatever the convoluted politics involved,
I hope they can be resolved so that this wonderful tradition can be
continued! I join Dr. Patterson in encouraging those who care to do
whatever they can to help.
