Even today, most people still tend to refer to the Inuit as "Eskimos", and
certainly any older or poorly translated literature would use this term.

Or are you asking why there is only mention of "Indians" and not much/any of
Inuit? My first guess would be that the Inuit are simply so far north that
they don't get much attention from the non-native masses and (I believe)
there are a lot fewer Inuit than non-Inuit Native people (are there more
Aleut than Inuit?) Trying to find books on the Inuit must be like trying to
find books on other specific First Nations - not always easy.
