Re: Eric Brunner's recent post using the MBWillia account:

(clip) re: number of postings of Cherokee Observer Articles,
and (clip) assessment of same:

Yes, indeedy. When you see numerous articles posted in a group, you tend
to think that it is a long article, in a series, that someone just didn't
understand the convention of marking Part I, Part II, etc.

Or else, as Eric pointed out, perhaps someone has a software problem.

But this latest posting about the legal action against Ms. Mankiller
has me..really puzzled..and a bit "warned off" items tagged as "news"
from the Cherokee Observer. The constant repetition speaks volumes..
as in, "if I say it enough times, you'll believe it."

And, since I have a fair number of journalistic awards holding up my
walls, I have to agree with Eric's excellent "journalistic" over-
view of those articles.

They aren't articles. They definitely do not
represent any form of reasonable journalism or reporting.

They're dubious scandal-sheets (in the old phraseology, a la 1500-1700,
European/New World colonization) ..at best.

I'm left with the definite impression, that the current postings from
the Cherokee Observer, if indeed they are traceable to that publication,
indicate not a newspaper, but a private propaganda machine.

Which was not my impression of the Observer before..although I admit
limited exposure to it in recent months.

Anybody out there with the C.O. want to tell us what's REALLY going on?
