Greetings to everyone,
I am outraged of the proposal of the French government to seek support for
its atomic testings at Mururoa/Pacific from the German government. Already
thousands of people around the globe have protested against this testing.
Despite all protests the French government plans to continue this series.
After being confronted with the negative reaction from many nations, people,
and politicians, because of Chirac's atomic bomb testing on Mururoa
(indigenous land) the French government is now trying to make good weather
and seeks support from the German government, by declarating the bomb
testing to be necessary for defense.
Germany does not have any atomic weapons, and for our future and children we
should not become involved with it. It was impossible for me this evening to
find out the e-mail addresses of the German government;
for the love of Mother earth and the future of our children
PLEASE
FAX
RIGHT NOW
a note to the German Government, with the demand not to become involved with
Chirac's(French president)/Juppe's (French Prime minister)atomic bomb
politics on indigenous land in the Pacific:

Greetings,
Thanks for the support from yesterday, concerning the FAX-action to the
German Department of State + Department of Foreign Affairs, concerning the
French's government prososal to gain Germany as an ally and supporter for
its nuclear bomb testings on Mururoa/Pacific (indigenous land). Today's
news are that the German government has to reflect upon this proposal in
the coming weeks. Please help to make the decision of not getting involved
in the French nuclear bomb politics easier for the German government, by
faxing another protest note to the German government.

Comments from NativeNet listowner, Gary Trujillo (gst@gnosys.svle.ma.us):
Again, I am permitting this announcement to be posted only in hopes that
some of you out there can work on putting together information that helps
us understand the relevance of this issue to concerns about and interest
in the indigenous populations of the South Seas Islands region. I will
not approve general articles giving information or expressing opinions
about the nuclear testing unless it is accompanied by material that makes
clear the relevance of the issue to the indigenous peoples of the area.
There is no doubt in my mind that the issue is highly relevant to that
subject, but I think we could all benefit from information that could give
us a better understanding of the history of the region and how it has been
used by colonial and nuclear powers for purposes antithetical to the free
growth and expression of the cultures of the Native peoples.
