Yes, they exist. I worked with a Gros Ventre man this summer, who was going
to school at Haskell. A lot of the language is gone, but there are good
efforts to reclaim it. The spiritual ways are coming back. More books to
look at which are about the Gros Ventre (of Ft. Belknap rez, Montana) are
The Seven Visions of Bull Lodge, and the Montana Geographic Series' book on
Montana Indians, which looks from prehistory to today, and which looks at
contemporary leaders of Montana's 7 reservations as well as the landless
Metis/Chippewa/Cree (good-looking book too).
