Help with Ottawa tribal info.

My daughter's father was 1/2 Ottawa/Metis from Michigan. His mother(her
grandmother) was from Windsor Ontario. Is there any way I can trace her
grandmother's tribal affiliation through the Ottawa tribe. I only know
that the grandmother was in a nursing home in Canada in 1979-80.
Any help would be profoundly appreciated.
