I am student at Queen's University just starting my Masters in Cultural
Geography. Having just spent three months opening and teaching in a rural
community in the Chuacus Mountains, Quiche, Guatemala, I naturally want
to focus my thesis on women in rural Guatemala. My question is this - What
subject/question to study would be of critical concern to Rigoberta
Menchu? I am considering returning to the community to do a biography of
a very good friend of mine in the community. Any suggestions as to what
to focus on that would be deemed worthwhile to the plight of indigenous
women in Guatemala and the world?
Thank you for your thoughts.
