The best article I have read on the subject is by Wendy Rose currently a
part of M. Annette Jaimes The State of Native America. I believe the
essay was written around 1990. Rose is a native anthropologist. I too am
interested in this subject, from the other end. I am an EuroAmerican
anthropologist and one of my personal peeves is white wannabes al a
Carlos Castaneda and Lynn Andrews. I would be interested in your
presentation and hope your travels bring you our way to Iowa.
