My graduate research has led me to devote a chapter
of my dissertation to the naming of Metacomet, the
Wampanoag leader of the second half of the 17th Century,
who was first named "Philip" by the New Plymouth English and then
nicknamed "King Philip."
It would be a great benefit for me to have a
Wampanoag reader for this piece of writing.
Would any of you with Wampanoag affiliation be willing, please,
to read my treatment of your famous leader?
