Kristina Putney writes <...who has discovered an ancestry in her family
which traces back to a cherokee indian tribe that was placed in a
reservation in Florida.>

How can this be? To my knowledge there was never any Cherokee
tribe placed in Florida by the government. The Apachee were placed
there and in Alabama by the army and portions of the Creek who were
not removed to Oklahoma remained in Florida. Just how did you trace
this?

Also Marvin Beshirs replies <I went to the Indian center in the nearest big
town to me which in my case is Springfield, MO. They usually have
copies of Indian rolls that you can look at.>

This is good advice but remember that any such rolls might be incomplete
and that the original rolls are in the National Archives at Fort Worth,
Texas. Their address is:
National Archives/South West Region
501 West Felix Street
PO Box 6216
Ft. Worth, TX 76115
(817) 334-5525

It is often possible to obtain the necessary rolls through interlibrary loan
at your local city or university library.
