Vilsoni Hereniko has done work on clowns
within Pacific Islander cultures. He is
a Professor in the Pacific Studies program
at the University of Hawai'i. His work
has appeared in the journal *The Contemporary
Pacific* and in a few anthologies. He also
was written a play with Teresia Teaiwa
entitled "The Last Virgin in Paradise" which
has a short essay appended on the subject of
clowning.
