As a non-profit, native organization, we have obtained equipment
(office, video, etc.) from Crown Assets. This department is a
division of the Government of Canada Supply and Services (the Provincial
Government ought to have a similar set up.) Usually it just takes a call
and some basic information to arrange an appointment. You can get the
number from your local blue pages (though the nearest outlet may be a ways
from where you are). Prices are usually more than reasonable, though all
sales are "as is" and final -- so buyer beware!!
Audio/video equipment may also be available by donation through media and
production houses. Have you contacted the CBC?
