Louise,
Regarding the Seminole bands, your search may even take you beyond
the United States. When some of the Seminole bands were "emmigrated"
by the US west of the Mississippi River, a leader called 'Wildcat'
took a band of Seminoles and Blacks south into the Coahuila region of
Mexico (1840's). About thirty years later, some of the Coahuila band
moved to Texas. Of course, many stayed in what is now Oklahoma.
Today, ancestors of these people can be found in Nacimiento
(Coahuila), Mexico; Brackettville, Texas; and Wewoka, Oklahoma. Hope
this helps.
