Navajo weavings are among the most prized objects of traditional
native arts. You can behold -- and purchase -- these beautiful
hand-woven designs at this special three-day sale to support the
Navajo weavers of Big Mountain and the Joint Use Area who are
presently resisting forced removal from their land.
Traditional dance and story-telling by Joe Cross and Donna Couteau
will be presented on Friday at 7:00 PM and Saturday at 2:00 PM
Sponsored by the Native American Support Group of NYC, the Navajo
Rug Sale is made in complete cooperation with the "Adopt-an-Elder"
