I think that the Stereotype Awareness Project would be a good venue for
responding to the MCLU actions. We have the letter that we wrote last
spring, and which has since been published in _Indian Country Today_,
and we have the mailing list of everyone who signed that letter. If
someone wants to write a letter (Bob Gough?) specifically answering
every one of the MCLU's objections, we could distribute that letter to
the gathered mailing addresses, and also post it on various newsgroups
and maillists, getting more signatures.

So if someone wants to write a letter, contact me and we can get started.
(I'm not fully aware of all of the MCLU positions, so someone better
informed than I am should probably write the letter).
