Native American video producers

I recently joined this listserv, after locating info about
it while searching the 'Net for resources on Native
American video producers.
I work as an editor/project manager for a nonprofit,
educational organization -- a membership organization for
law schools in the U.S. and Canada. I have recently been
asked to develop our vendor pool of video producers, with
a particular eye toward increasing our list of minority
producers we may draw from for our various projects.
We have already produced several recruitment videos this
past summer. One, called "Balancing the Scales," was
designed with a generalized minority audience in mind, as
our organization is working toward increased minority
presence in our member law schools (and, consequently, an
increasing number of minority lawyers). This video is
designed for college and high school students who may be
qualified law school candidates. Often the video is shown
by career advisors, specifically prelaw advisors, and we
are working toward expanding its distribution as well.
There has been some discussion among the members of our
Minority Affairs Committee about producing a similar
video, but one targeted to Native American students
specifically.
I would be very interested in seeing resumes and sample
reels of any Native American video producers, specifically
those producers who are experienced in working with
educational/nonprofit organizations such as mine, and who
would be interested in exploring the development of such a
project with us. I would certainly welcome suggestions
from anyone on this list as to additional resources for me
to check, or names of people I might contact. Please
e-mail your suggestions directly to me as I don't want to
waste valuable time and space on this list with my very
specific request. (bgordon@lsac.org)
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
