The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) would like to
invite you to join us as a judge for the 9th Annual National American Indian
Science & Engineering Fair, March 21-23, 1996. Our judges play a very
important role in the National American Indian Science & Engineering Fair
by sharing valuable experience and expertise with the student exhibitors.
Students can benefit from science fair participation in a variety of ways.
In creating projects, they practice the scientific method, collect and
interpret data and use oral, written and graphic presentation skills.
Students profit from discussing projects with highly qualified judges. As a
judge, you can coach students on improving projects, ask questions which can
contribute to project expansion and provide the students with much-needed
encouragement.
Judges should hold a degree(s) in science, mathematics or engineering
disciplines, or equivalent work experience, such as a technician, or be
currently majoring in science, mathematics or engineering disciplines. Due
to potential conflicts of interest, no elementary, middle or high school
teacher may judge. For further information about the annual fair, point
your web browser to:http://spot.colorado.edu/~aises/naisef.html
If you are interested in participating as a judge, please complete and
